A Wisdom from Ujang

Melihat sinetron-sinetron zaman sekarang, saya teringat kembali dulu saat saya masih smp kalau tidak salah, antv pernah membuat sebuah program film televisi mini yang berusaha mendobrak stigma-stigma film televisi yang sudah ada. FTV mencoba menyajikan tayangan baru yang segar yang bukan melulu hanya sinetron. Yang bukan melulu hanya ibu tiri. Yang bukan melulu hanya kisah satir Cinderella kacangan dengan akting dempulan dan remaja-remaja baru puber dengan aksesoris beli grosiran di Naughty.

FTV yang waktu itu paling saya suka, sekaligus FTV pertama yang waktu itu ditayangkan di AnTV adalah Ujang Pantry yang dibintangi Ringgo Agus dan Dina Olivia. Ceritanya tentang Nadine si cewek kaya yang got knocked up by Ujang si pengurus pantry ini.

Ceritanya lucu, ringan, dan aktingnya bener-bener ga bikin alis mengernyit mempertanyakan kewarasan diri sendiri. Ada satu kalimat yang menyentil waktu itu. Saat Ujang berusaha minta maaf kepada Nadine, setelah berulang kali, dengan menyebalkannya menyakiti hati Nadine, teman si Nadine pun mengusir si Ujang gebleug ini, sambil berkata:

"Nadine tuh orang kaya. Tapi dia ga pernah sombong sama kekayaannya. Tapi kamu?? Kamu selalu sombong akan kemiskinan kamu!!"

Saya pun langsung merasa tersentil. Pernah ga sih merasa kayak Ujang ini? Selalu berkoar-koar tentang kelemahan kita demi mendapat, entahlah, dibilang rasa kasihan juga bukan..rasa simpati juga bukan..telkomsel juga bukan... *eyaaaaa

Contoh: "Iya tahu deh..saya mah orang miskin..ga kayak kamu, kaya. Udahlah ga usah deket-deket saya lagi."

Setelah dipikir-pikir, iya sih. Ngapain sombong dengan kemiskinan kita? Intinya? Moralnya? Auk deh, cari aja sendiri, udah gede ini. Godspeed.

One of my favourite episode in Dexter season 1. Title: Love American Style. Minutes before Dex killed his victims, they had this conversation. These 2 victims are immigrants dealer and husband and wife as well.

The Truth is..

We put up walls to hide how vulnerable we are. We hide, we deny, we refuse, we reject. All for one main reason, to know who is willing enough to tear down those walls and really see what's behind it.
Because deep down all we really need in the end of the day is someone who we can be comfortable with in those awkward silences. Who doesn't need to ask if you're fine, he KNOWS you're not fine. Who tries to do nothing to fix you, but to "face you the reality of your powerlessness".

Cinta Vs Nafsu

Gue gak tahu kenapa semalem gue lagi jijik banget. Sempet-sempetnya di MSN ngomongin Cinta vs Nafsu sama Citra. She's a friend of mine in China major.
Hmmm..so where to start?

So I was listening to Corinne Bailey Rae's Like A Star. I once read in Kompas newspaper last year that her husband, Jason Rae, former saxophonist of Haggis Horns, was found dead in an apartment in London. He was overdosed. Then I googled the lyrics. Dang man. If that song was about Jason Rae, and seeing he died so tragically, if I were Corinne, I would probably be sent to an asylum for a trauma case. Check out the lyrics here.

So I said to Citra, "Cit lagu Like A Star tuh paling enak buat ngehe". Please note that it's just an expression that I often use. Haha. Yea if Colbie's Bubbly was Citra's sacred song, then Like A Star is mine. And then Citra started to ramble about her boy type... tall.. ga kurus (I think she meant fat. Dia hanya sok-sokan memperhalus saja).. Lebih bagus lagi rambutnya cokelat keriting, matanya ijo atau hazel. Duh?? Cit, kawin aja lo sono sama Lucifer. Denger-denger Lucifer bisa tuh berubah jadi ganteng saat diperlukan untuk merekrut anggota. Hahaha.

The Ice T's quote about how passion makes the world go round seemed to make sense to me. Love without passion..it's not love at all. You may say you love somebody, but if you don't even have the passion to keep it burning hot, then..you just better forget it. But then again, as many philosophers said..LOVE IS AN ILLUSION. So maybe you won't even know whether it's love or not who is knocking at your door. The Twilight Is Rising...and..Setting

Hello...
I'm trying to use the right spelling, checking, and whatever in this blog from now on [except grammar, I can't guarantee you anything about this haha] so..enjoy

I just watched Twilight [yea yea..enough with the screaming ladies...*roll eyes*]

I gotta admit a few things

1. I wanna scream "Edward! Edward!!" crazily and disgustingly like a freaking high school teenager
2. My expectations for boys just went from here *down* to here *up*. Normal men [non-vampires] just seem so boring now =P
3. Although I know that man like Edward Cullen is just a fictional character [i freakin don't believe in vampires] but ..but..but.. yeah I'd be a vampire in a second if it was a vampire like Edward who had a crush on me.

And all of these things just seem to be ruined because I know the-girl-who-made-him-broke-my-heart is a huge fan of the series... Now I'm being put off by all of it. Seems shallow huh?
But I bet some of you, if you were in my position would feel the same way.
Because everytime I think of Twilight, The Cullens and all, all that comes afterwards was the sight of him holding hands with her..

jadi kemaren gue baru nonton hellboy di trans tv..dan setelah sekitar 4 jam menonton (dengan selingan iklan2 sponsor) i come to a conclusion. hellboy is smokin hot.
hellboy tuh ya menurut gue memiliki kriteria2 yang diinginkan para wanita dari seorang cowo idaman

1. cool. terlihat dari gerak-geriknya dan the whole "the lonely hero" thing.
2. setia. dia cuma cinta liz sherman seorang dan rela ngelakuin apa aja buat liz.
