It's Official: Imma Twigeek

Yak....bagus....sebentar lagi Hanny yang kalian kenal gembrot, uninterested looking, physically weak, yeah that particular Hanny, akan segera berubah. Sebentar lagi saya akan berubah. Menjadi cuantuik luar biasa dan impossibly strong, menjadi VAMPIR. Merujuk ke istilah yang digunakan Jacob Black dan teman-teman werewolvesnya (di Breaking Dawn dibilang sih kalau sebenarnya mereka itu bukan werewolves, tapi shape-shifters, they can shift shapes to whatever as necessary, not particularly wolves only), vampires are BLOODSUCKERS. Well, NYAMUK adalah PENGISAP DARAH juga bukan? Dan nyamuk-nyamuk di kamar saya sepertinya semakin hari semakin montok, dan setelah mereka menggigit saya, saya juga merasakan burning sensation yang luar biasa (karena nabok nyamuk terlalu keras) seperti yang dialami Bella Cullen saat dia bertransformasi menjadi vampir.

Oke saya percaya memberi makan yang kelaparan membawa pahala sehingga saya pasti akan masuk surga setelah "memberi makan" nyamuk-nyamuk kelaparan itu *sigh*. So until then, let's talk about Twilight one mo' time! Yeah! Haha. Seakan obsesi saya akan Twilight The Movie belum berakhir, sekarang saya jatuh cinta pada bagian terakhir dari saga vampir itu, Breaking Dawn (artinya subuh yang merekah bukan sih?). Deskripsi Stephenie Meyer akan setiap adegan terasa nyata dan mendetil. Dari setiap deskripsinya saya bisa merasakan pesan moral yang ingin dia sampaikan (jadi inget masa SMA, bikin sinopsis mesti pake pesan moralnye), yaitu immortality worth an expensive price. It is worse than dying. But even if it means you have to live through eternity with the one you love, it'll all worth the while. Caelah..dalem bener ye kan, I love you forever, LITERALLY, FOREVER. Prikitiiiuuuwww!
Siapapun yang membaca perasaan dan emosi saat menjadi vampir lewat sudut pandang Bella Cullen pasti akan merasa 'kepengen'. Saya yakin itu. Jika dengan menjadi vampir berarti memiliki kekuatan super, badan yang tiba-tiba sempurna tanpa cacat, penglihatan yang tiba-tiba membuat dunia lebih indah dari biasanya, dan berkah bakat a wonderful self-control seperti yang dimiliki Bella, maka saya akan mengambil kesempatan itu tanpa berpikir tiga kali. Mungkin dua kali saja cukup. Haha. Jika vampir benar-benar ada, maka saya akan mencari pacar vampir saja. Namun saya tidak percaya mereka ada. Saya tidak percaya pada apa yang tidak pernah saya lihat. Berarti saya tidak percaya Tuhan juga dong? Wow itu rahasia. haha.
Ya ya oke saya ini Twigeek. Namun saya yakin di luar sana banyak Twigeeks lainnya yang lebih impossible dan difficult daripada saya. Maksudnya dibilanginnya lebih susah, lebih ngeyel, lebih tergila-gila sama Edward Cullen daripada saya. Haha.
Saya sendiri sih pribadi lebih ngefans sama Jacob Black. Saya percaya dia pria yang lebih baik untuk Bella. Seperti yang Jacob bilang sendiri di Eclipse, "He's your drug, I'm healthier for you. I'm your sun." Ya Jacob lebih sehat untuk Bella dibandingkan Edward yang seperti kokain, bikin nagih dan nagih dan nagih. Dia matahari yang selalu ada saat Bella butuhkan. Tapi ini salah satu pesan moral lagi (atau mungkin curhat colongan?) yang Stephenie Meyer coba selipkan di dalam karyanya. Cinta itu BUTA. Hahaha. Memang harus buta kawan. Tapi biasanya orang buta memiliki indra-indra lain yang lebih kuat bukan? Lihat saja Daredevil. ;P

Merujuk kembali ke istilah vampir itu sendiri, saya ingat dulu saya pernah baca di Bobo sewaktu SD, vampir itu ternyata beneran ada, maksudnya istilah vampir itu ada based on manusia beneran. Dulu di Eropa, keluarga bangsawan dan kerajaan yang memiliki hubungan darah sering sekali kawin ataupun mengawinkan anak-anak mereka. Pernah belajar biologi di SMP kan? Saya sendiri tidak pernah belajar biologi saat SMP. Saya percaya saya itu sleepwalking dan ngigo dulu sepanjang SMP dan entah bagaimana karena beruntung saya dapat lulus pelajaran biologi SMP. Ya pokoknya entah bagaimana, manusia yang memiliki hubungan darah itu tidak boleh melakukan hubungan perkawinan. Nanti ada kromosom atau gen apa gitu, yang jika menyatu dapat menyebabkan penyakit albino pada keturunannya. Nah jadi di Eropa dulu mungkin banyak banget orang albino, dan muncullah istilah vampir. Penghisap darah yang tidak pernah keluar pada siang hari. Ya iyalah bangsawan kok pucet, jadi dulu pada malu deh keluar pas siang-siang. Tamat. Yeah! Pintar kan saya. Makanya dulu waktu kecil baca Bobo dong, jangan main layangan mulu. Gosong deh tuh otak.

Yak mungkin segitu dulu deh, sebelum terlalu banyak Twigeeks yang mungkin bakal mampir kemari karena ngegoogle "Edward Cullen naked", atau "Kristen Stewart naked" <---- sengaja bener, biar blognya rame ye mbrot? Hahaha.

Before Sunrise

Conversations flow. They really do. A beautiful guy met a beautiful girl on a train to Vienna, she caught him by the eye. She kinda hooked him first by the whole thing about how as couple gets older they lose their ability to hear each other, like they sort of nullify each other, and he thought it was nature's way of allowing couple to grow old together without killing each other.

Well..that was a hook. Hahaha. Soon they were wandering the streets of Vienna, talking, laughing, and all. Ever since I read this novel Love in Prague by Judith an Indonesian writer, Eastern Europe cities have always been my dream destinations. But you know, not that goal-oriented, like researching on them history and stuff. I just dream on visiting them later. If I got the money, and If I do, I WILL spare the time for God's sake. Amazing how a single novel about Prague can hooked me up that much on Europe, than any kind of pictures, videos, or movies did. And this movie just a kind of suplementary to it all. A sweet movie about love, life, strangers, with Europe background.

The guy, Jesse, is all this American guy, bitter, but in heart I think he is someone who believes so much in love, that when it hurt him, it turned him cynical. The girl, Celine, is this free-loving, independent, sweet, smart French girl, who always has her own takes on everything.

I just..hate the ending. (Warning you for some bloopers) They could've been forever. They're clearly each other's angel and demon. But they choose not to. Over what? The fear of being depressed? Urgh. Sure they could get to know each other...lose interest in each other...but that'd be better than give the whole thing up, right? It kinda bugs me of how people willing to sacrifice so little for something they know is right and almost heaven-made.

Four thumbs up for both actors though. The acting is incredible. Well, I heard in real life Hawke and Delpy managed to become a couple, but then broke up. The word said Hawke broke up with her over Joely Richardson. But I didn't really knew. I wasn't a fan of Hawke then. Guess I kinda am now. Never thought beautiful guys would be so attractive. Haha.

I can't pick my favourite quotes. The movie itself is my favourite quote to life. So...is Before Sunrise my favourite movie..? Yeah I guess so. Watch it to get it. Overall I give it 4.5 stars out of 5. It loses the half star for the sucky ending. Haha.

Eyegasm

Baru aja nonton X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Hasil? Megaaaaaaaannnggg bangeeeuuudd. Dari baru mulai aja ekspektasi gue udah tinggi. Pertama-tama, liat nama Hugh Jackman. Standar. Emang dia pemeran utamanya ya kan. Liev Schreiber. Siapa pula ini. Pokoknya pastinya dia jadi abangnya Logan. Tiba-tiba, jeng jeng jeng! "Ryan Reynolds", terus "Taylor Kitsch". Aw aw aw. Persetan dengan cerita. Persetan dengan spesial efek. Hahahahaha.

Ok just kidding. Gak mungkin seorang "perfeksionis" seperti gue ga membahas isinya. Oke. Visualisasi cukup yummy. Gelap dan dramatis. Adegan-adegan begitu detil dan menegangkan. Otot Hugh Jackman. Hugh Jackman telanjang. Otot Ryan Reynolds. Senyum nakal Taylor Kitsch. Ok ok, maaf, lanjut.

Sesuai dengan judul filmnya yang ada kata "origin", cerita film ini menceritakan asal muasalnya si James Logan aka Wolverine. Tapi bagi gue sendiri sih awalannya belum cukup megang banget gimanaaaa gitu. Asal-usul keluarganya si Logan kurang dikuak. Soal alur, ya oke lah. Oke banget malah. At least gue ga mengalami moment "yawn" di dalam bioskop tadi.

Agak kecewa dengan si Remy LeBeau aka Gambit. Taylor Kitschnya sih udah pas (bagi yang gak tau Taylor Kitsch sebelumnya beken lewat film apa, nonton aje serial Friday Night Lights, megang tuh), tapi kostumnya itu loh. Di komik X-Men yang gue miliki satu-satunya yang judulnya pun gue udah lupa, yang dulu pertama kali gue baca pas SD dan hilang setelah dipinjam tetangga gue, si Gambit tuh digambarkan keren banget. Rambut diangkat pake headband, jubah panjang cokelat, dan sarung tangan. Kalo yang di film kostumnya terlalu biasa. Standar.

Agak ngakak ngeliat Scott Summers aka Cyclops yang masih ingusan, dikejar-kejar sama Sabretooth. Hahahaha. Beda sama James Marsden yang cool banget ya di X-Men 1, 2, 3.

Overall film ini amat sangat menghibur mata di kala sedang penat dan sepet oleh tugas-tugas sejarah cina klasik sialan (haha kayak gue uda ngerjain aja. bahkan berusaha ngerjain pun nggak. simply the thought of it udah bikin gue penat). Nonton gih, biar pada Eyegasm. Hahahaha. Godspeed.

Knowing

Ok so this is what addiction feels like. You're getting used to it. When it's not around you'll start scratching your nails to the wall like a starved puppy. When you can't get it you will try EVERY way possible to finally get it to work again. Ways such as: restarting your computer for you don't know the thousandth times, shut it down and turn it on again, install the new version of adobe flash player. But still, after you have tried all the ways mentioned above, it stands still.

Hmmmpppffftt. Okay so now I'm trying to forget the fact that Restaurant City is undermaintenance AGAIN (like for a millionth times already this month) and try to focus on other things. I mean that's what junkies do, right? Chain smokers chew gums, alcoholics drink milk (do they really? mind my sotoy analysis), RC junkies write new posts on their blog, ranting about how it is going undermaintenance again.

Okay...focus...focus...happy things..happy moments..taste of warm vanilla caramel milk...smell of puppy's armpits...yeap..here we gooohh

I'm gonna review my movie of the week: Knowing. Let's get aside the fact that Nicolas Cage has never really been my favorite actor in the world, well, but he portrayed a good exhausted single parent who is also a whatever-it-is (it could be astronomy, it could be geography for all I know) professor in a university.

The movie was quite long, and I really enjoyed it. Except for the last 15 minutes T_T. Okay prepare for some bloopers here.

I was so excited at the beginning of the movie where the little girl, Lucinda, started to write down numbers for the future instead of drawing picture like her classmates did. I was expecting some ghosts action. Hahaha. Lucinda's piece of numbers is found 50 years later by Cage's son, Caleb, and just out of boredom/curiousity, Cage started to check and recheck those numbers. Apparently the numbers are prophecy for the accidents that has happened in the last 50 years. Well one by one started to become true...blablabla..it leads to the doomsday.

I was not too pleased by the visuals.
First, the angels (I guess they supposed to be angels since they come to pick up Caleb and Abby, who turned out to be The Chosen One, to start over the human race) looked like demons. With their pale faces, and black cloaks.
Second, the "boat" that took the chosen one to the new planet, kinda look like an alien spaceship instead of a heavenly train.
Third, I really can't stand the overrated backsound.

Overall, it was a cool movie. Made me think. What if tomorrow is The Doomsday? Where God supposedly will fulfill his revelation, the judgment day. When that fire came, I would probably be burnt forever. What has to be done so I could understand His revelation? I KNOW I'm not ready. I have not ready. Have you? Godspeed.

Rawrrr!

Heyho..Yesterday, got nothing to do, so I went to Randu's, and did nothing (again). After 1 hour of me reading The Devil Loves Cinnamon (which was often interrupted by Randu, commenting on tv programs and I gotta respond so she would just shut up but in fact she didn't hahaha) and Randu switching on tv channels, we decided to buy Slumdog Millionaire. Yoohoo! Right decision everybody! Hahaha.

Well I used to watch a lot of dvds in a short period, but since I've moved to a boarding house, I can't do that too often anymore. The last time I watched dvds, they were "Stepbrothers" and "This Is England". So Slumdog Millionaire was a refresher in the middle of mid-term test week.
The movie was directed by Danny Boyle and won 8 Oscars, 8, everyone, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay (oh it was adapted from the book "Q&A" by Vikas Swarup), Best Film Editing, Best Sound Mixing, Best Cinematography, Best Original Score, and Best Original Song. And it also won a lots of other awards. You can google it. Haha.

So other than the amazing story and twist the movie offered, something else caught my eye..It's....DEV PATEL! Hahaha.Ooouw..hellooooww boooyy. Look at the hair, look at the eyes, look at the tall slender body (well you can't really see it here but he's tall. slender. yummy). Don't you just wanna eat him? Hahaha. Hmmm..maybe you don't think he's that tantalizing, but for those who haven't watched Slumdog, you should watch it first then I bet you'd change your mind. For those who have and still can't see what I see, well...just 死!! Hahaha. Godspeed.

Confessions of a Eataholic

I watched shopaholic yesterday! With my bestie Beby. And we got a "little" carried away. Hmm.
The movie was unexpectedly good, funny, and I think Isla Fisher makes a good Rebecca Bloomwood. All innocent, cute, yet mentally disturbed Rebecca. Haha.

The wardrobe was a little too fashionista, like I read in Idya's blog, she was actually not that fashionable in the book. She's not that branded. It striked me in the first scene, when she wore all matching pink outfit and posing off the Manhattan street lookin like the next Legally Blonde. Haha. Cute! But a little bit overrated. But then again, hey, it's a movie about a SHOPAHOLIC. People are expecting a fashion show off, a Sex & The City sequel. People are expecting something visually entertaining, I did too. Haha.

After watching almost 2 hours of Rebecca Bloomwood shopping, shopping, and shopping again...well..who would not get a little bit too carried away?

I spent A LOT on food yesterday. Well, for my standards, that was a lot. Usually I have self control, my friend too. But it was that movie that made us do that. Yeah! That's it! The movie made us do that! Pfftt..Self, I apologize ON BEHALF of the MOVIE (yea, who absolutely the devil in disguise) for making you ate that much food yesterday, and made you spend your one week's allowance on delicious-and-blissful-yet-evil food, while you could use 'em to survive in campus. I apologize.

Kemarin saya baru menonton Kambing Jantan. Tiba-tiba baru ingat Raditya Dika dan si mantannya itu kan emang anak UI ya. Hmm..Kaget dan agak lucu aja pas liat adegan si Dika dan Kebo di depan perpustakaan FIB. Haha. Tempat anak sejarah biasa nongkrong.
Terus pas adegan, "Mbing..aku keterima lho di UI! SASTRA CINA! Keren ya!"
Mendengar jurusan saya disebut di pelem..saya tiba2 merasa ikut kecipratan terkenal.
Ya ya, saya baru ingat lagi di bukunya memang disebutkan kalau si Kebo anak SasCin UI.
Maaf agak kampung, dari TK sampai SMA, sekolah saya tidak pernah masuk pelem soalnya.

Hello...
I'm trying to use the right spelling, checking, and whatever in this blog from now on [except grammar, I can't guarantee you anything about this haha] so..enjoy

I just watched Twilight [yea yea..enough with the screaming ladies...*roll eyes*]

I gotta admit a few things

1. I wanna scream "Edward! Edward!!" crazily and disgustingly like a freaking high school teenager
2. My expectations for boys just went from here *down* to here *up*. Normal men [non-vampires] just seem so boring now =P
3. Although I know that man like Edward Cullen is just a fictional character [i freakin don't believe in vampires] but ..but..but.. yeah I'd be a vampire in a second if it was a vampire like Edward who had a crush on me.

But I bet some of you, if you were in my position would feel the same way.
Because everytime I think of Twilight, The Cullens and all, all that comes afterwards was the sight of him holding hands with her..

jadi kemaren gue baru nonton hellboy di trans tv..dan setelah sekitar 4 jam menonton (dengan selingan iklan2 sponsor) i come to a conclusion. hellboy is smokin hot.

1. cool. terlihat dari gerak-geriknya dan the whole "the lonely hero" thing.

easter holiday

liburan paskah empat hari terkahir ini, gue habiskan dengan menonton dvd.
my sister is like, crazy when it comes to dvd. sekali beli bisa 30 keping or more.
kalo dvd bisa dikiloin mungkin she's amillionaire now.
saking banyaknya tuh dvd, ilang juga udah ga ketauan. and di kamar abang gue ada tumpukan khusus yang namanya 'abandoned dvds'.
semua dvd yang terabaikan karena kotor, jelek, ataupun terselip sehingga belum sempat ditonton ada di situ.

dari semua film2 yang gue tonton itu, ada beberapa yang membekas di otak bahkan mungkin hati.
- My Blueberry Nights : I adore Natalie Portman. really. this girl's talented dude. gak berlebihan kalo gue bilang aktingnya flawless.
- Beowulf : ceritanya bagus ajah. n like the animation effect. lain dari film2 urban legend sebelumnya yang suka rada over the top dan bertaburan dialog2 klise.
- Dan In Real Life : I always like this kinda movie. sweet. gak terlalu menggurui. singkatnya it's simple and sweet. watch it.
